Gold rum distilled from fermented molasses. Aged in used whisky and bourbon barrels.

The aroma of demerara sugar and sherried alcohol lead to smooth taste, that discovers a slight pepper note in the body evolving into a cinnamon-butter tone in the finish. In spite of being aged only a few years this is a fine cocktail mixing rum and is the most popular of the Cockspur rums.

Like all of the Cockspur rums, Fine Rum is a blend of column and pot-still rums brought down to bottled strength with coral-filtered well water.

All of the Cockspur rums are aged in select used, charred, American white oak barrels.

After several years of experimenting with bottling Cockspurs rums in the US, bottling has returned to Barbados where Cockspur rums are born. Although the label name is 'Cockspur Fine Rum' this is rum is known around the world as 'Cockspur Five Star.'
