Brown rum distilled from fermented molasses. Aged at the distillery on St. Vincent in used whisky and bourbon barrels.

St Vincent Sunset Extra Gold Rum is bottled in St Vincent as Captain Bligh Rum. This blend of aged rums has a slightly smoky aroma leading to a rounded initial taste of baked cinnamon and fruit. The medium body gains strength as it leads to the smoky oak, cashew and dried apricot finish that lingers.

This is a great golden rum for cocktails, coconut water and Sunset Extra is one of my favorites, but I also enjoy this mature rum on the rocks or with a little water.

Distribution is sketchy so don't hesitate if you find this rum on the shelf in your travels.
